Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. She made her debut in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donnevan's role is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody began modelling after being offered by a professional photographer. It led to an impressive professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was extremely cautious about doing glamour or nude work. The same rule continued into the acting profession. After catching the eye of the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was named one of the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. At just 18 when she appeared in the role Doody was and is - the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias as she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation from The Secret Garden. Doody was Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal she went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. She starred along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two years. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November 2018 she received the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and was awarded a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
